Sufjan Stevens
—Once In Royal David's City
Sufjan Stevens - “Once in Royal David’s City” from Songs for Christmas, Vol. II: Hark!
This hymn, written by Cecil Frances Alexander, has since 1919 begun every Christmas Eve service of the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at King’s College, Cambridge, and thus is one of the most recognized Christmas carols in Britain.
I left this on loop in the house on purpose for the house visits (for prospective student tenants next year) this afternoon while I was out.
